Pastor Artur Pawlowski back in court this week

Pastor Pawlowski will be on trial this week for speaking at the Freedom Convoy in Coutts last year in support of the truckers.

CALGARY: Pastor Artur Pawlowski will be on trial on February 2-3, 2023, in Lethbridge, Alberta, for his participation in the Freedom Convoy protest in Coutts, Alberta.

On February 3, 2022, Pastor Pawlowski attended the Freedom Convoy protest in Coutts, where he spoke to people gathered in support of the trucker strike.

Pastor Pawlowski was charged with inciting mischief, counselling interference with critical infrastructure, and failing to keep the peace and be in good behaviour.

Pastor Pawlowski's words to the protesters are being prosecuted in this week's trial. The Democracy Fund-funded lawyers Sarah Miller with co-counsel Chad Haggerty are representing Pastor Pawlowski in this case and are arguing that Pastor Pawlowski broke no law when he attended and spoke at the protest.
