TDF lawyers save 14 clients from financial ruin

TDF’s legal team has achieved a series of sweeping victories preventing 14 clients from paying a total cumulative value of over one million dollars in fines.

Toronto: TDF Lawyers and paralegals have been busy defending clients across Canada who have been charged under legislation relating to COVID-19. In the past two weeks alone, they have saved 14 clients in British Columbia over $56,000 in fines. In Ontario, they have secured the withdrawal of three tickets issued to business owners who faced fines totalling $950,000 for non-compliance with the Quarantine Act and the Reopening Ontario Act.

The legal team at TDF represents clients across the country who have been fined in connection to legislation related to COVID-19. Many clients are unable to pay fines or would be forced to close their businesses if convicted. TDF lawyer, Adam Blake-Gallipeau, has confirmed that TDF will continue to “vigorously defend” its clients whenever there is a suspected breach of constitutional rights under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
