Following numerous arrests in Ottawa over the weekend, TDF lawyers have been working around the clock to assist peaceful protesters in exercising their civil rights.
TORONTO: Since last weekend, The Democracy Fund (TDF) lawyers have been hard at work assisting peaceful protesters who were arrested in Ottawa
TDF received more than 150 calls over the span of three days. Our legal team successfully negotiated the release of the vast majority of those who contacted TDF for legal assistance.
TDF legal team is currently assisting more than 20 protesters who were charged following the unlawful implementation of the Emergencies Act.
Our lawyers are prepared to pursue each of these matters to trial, if necessary.
